He Is God

I choose to put my trust in God
No load too much for Him to bear
In each and every battle fought
He is my song and prayer

For He is God, author of all
Yes He is God, of power and awe
Nations rise and nations fall
But He’s still God

The pride of man and earthly gain
Will only last for one brief hour
So I will put my trust in God
My strong and mighty tower

When clouds and lightning fill the skies
When darkness veils His radiant face
I’ll rest in His unfailing love
And His unchanging grace

One day the trumpet He will sound
To glory He will call me home
And oh what joy that day will bring
To stand before His throne!
