Not In Vain

Verse 1

This life is but a vapour
A flicker in a flame
Yet no less is it’s beauty
Though it will pass away
Like snow upon the mountain
Like grass upon the plain
A season is it’s purpose
This life is not in vain

Each one of us is precious
And wonderfully made
And what we may call weakness
He’s woven in our frame
And it is His good pleasure
To give, to take away
Lord, help me know the truth that
This life is not in vain

And on my final journey
Into my final day
As I am growing impatient
To see You face to face
To dwell with You in glory
No tears, no fear, no pain
Then I will fully know that
This life was not in vain
Yes, one day I will know that
